About
ISABELLE GOULDER, LCSW, CCTP-II
Hi! I am so happy you are here.
My passion for psychotherapy stems from a deep curiosity about how people respond to and recover from hardship. Our brains, bodies and minds are built with protective mechanisms designed to see us through difficult times. However, these defenses can sometimes lead to a sense of fragmentation and a feeling of being disconnected from our true selves. In my practice, I offer a therapeutic space for clients to gently and safely unpack these experiences. By making sense of your past, we can work together to foster a sense of wholeness and reconnect you with your inherent resilience and authentic self.
I received my Masters in Social work from a psychoanalytic school, which jump started my exploration into trauma work, and how it effects our brain, body, and mind. I have worked with families experiencing trans-generational trauma who were stuck in “the system”, I was a forensic interviewer and supported children and families through criminal abuse investigations, and I provided mental health support to children, families and staff in the St. Vrain Valley school district. My experiences have been vast and it informs how I work with my clients in private practice.
In my practice, I utilize a relational and psychodynamic approach to meet clients where they are, fostering a compassionate space for growth. This is informed by a range of evidence-based modalities, including somatic therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Narrative Therapy, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, Sensorimotor psychotherapy, interpersonal neurobiology and parts work.
When I am not providing psychotherapy I enjoy spending time with my family running, lifting weights, gardening and playing with my dogs, Howie and Freddy.
My values
01
Compassion
I believe everyone deserves to feel whole and understood. While we all face challenges and make mistakes, these moments do not define our worth. My goal is to offer a compassionate space where you can explore difficult feelings without judgment and rediscover your inherent strength
02
Connection
I believe in the power of connection and the fundamental human need to belong. When it feels difficult to find your place or you feel stretched thin by life's demands, it can be hard to feel fully present in the things that bring you wholeness. I offer a supportive space to help you find your footing, build a stronger sense of self, and feel truly connected to your life.
03
Trust
It is a privilege to create a therapeutic space where clients feel safe, respected, and truly heard. Unpacking intense life experiences and the beliefs that have formed around them is a powerful step toward healing. Together, we will work to process what has happened and cultivate the internal resources you need to restore trust and create a more secure future
